Canon launches PowerShot SX50HS digital camera in North America

Canon has started the sales of the PowerShot SX50HS digital camera in stores across North America. The new camera weighs 595 grams and measures 123 x 87 x 106 mm and offers 50x optical zoom and a wide-angle 24-1200 m lens.

The PowerShot SX50HS also comes with a fast Canon DIGIC 5 processor, 12.1 MP sensor, 2.8-inch LCD PureColor II VA display and functions that allow the user to take up to 13 pictures per second. The camera can also shoot Full HD videos at 1920 x 1080 pixels at 24 frames per second. If this isn’t enough the SX50HS also gives you the opportunity to shoot up to 10 frames per second at maximum resolution.

In the USA the camera costs around 500 USD.
