iiyama with new 20-inch ProLite E2008HDD ECO Monitor

Monitor manufacturer iiyama, today has announced a new ECO display form its ProLite series monitors, which the company claims has 40% less power consumption than previous models in the line.

The model called E2008HDD has 20-inch diagonal TFT panel with 1600 x 900 pixels native resolution, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a brightness of 250 cd/m2 and 2ms (GTG) response time. The monitor has an impressive 25 Watts power consumption in normal operation mode and has a 30% power reduction when operates in ECO Mode. It offers D-Sub and DVI connectivity ports and is expected to be available in Japan later this month for 16,800 Yen (around $206).
