PNY releases Black line of USB flash drives

PNY has released a new line of USB flash drives, called Black. The new line is comprised of four different models – PNY Cube Attaché, PNY S1 Attaché, PNY Micro M3 3.0 and PNY Turbo 3.0 Flash drive.

The PNY Cube Attaché is housed in a compact but durable chassis and as the name of the device suggests it has a cube-shaped design. The flash drive weighs just 4.2 grams and is available in two colors – black and red. It comes with capacities of 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB and is best used for files, images, music and more.

The PNY S1 Attaché is a USB flash drive that looks like a pen. It comes in two colors – black and white and features intricate designs on the exterior. In addition the drive comes with a key hole and can be easily attached to key chains and other similar objects. Capacities reach 32 GB.

The PNY Micro M3 3.0 is an extremely small USB flash drive. It is as small as a paper clip and that’s why it weighs only 1.8 grams. The device, however, brings USB 3.0 performance at up to 21 MB/sec of read speed and up to 115 MB/sec of write speed. There’s a strip hole too that can be looped onto wallets, key chains and backpacks. The PNY Micro M3 3.0 offers a top capacity of 64 GB.

The PNY Turbo 3.0 flash drive is an ultra fast memory bar that reads at up to 140 MB/sec and writes at up to 70 MB/sec. The drive is perfect for large files such as movies or video and is backward compatible to USB 2.0, just like the PNY Micro M3 3.0 flash drive. In addition the PNY Turbo 3.0 comes with a sliding collar design to prevent cap misplacement. This drive offers capacities that range between 16 GB and 256 GB.

The new PNY flash drives are compatible with Windows 2000 or newer and Mac OS X 10.3 or newer and all of them come with a 5-year warranty. No word on pricing, however.
