Samsung announces Galaxy Folder smartphone

Yesterday LG unveiled a new flip smartphone called Gentle and apparently to strike back Samsung has presented a new flip smartphone too. The device is called Galaxy Folder and follows the steps of the first generation Galaxy Folder, which was announced in year 2013.

The new Samsung Galaxy Folder comes with specifications that largely resemble the LG Gentle – the smartphone has a physical keypad, a 3.8-inch display, an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera, 8 GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, a GPS receiver and an 1800 mAh battery. The processor inside is unknown, which isn’t that good, but the Galaxy Folder has support for LTE and supposedly runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Galaxy Folder will be on the market in August and will offer two colors – white and dark blue. As to pricing the handset is expected to sell for around USD 250. Unfortunately it appears that Samsung does not have plans to release the device outside of Korea.
