Samsung outs Galaxy Light smartphone

Samsung has released another smartphone to market – this time targeting US customers with the budget-oriented Galaxy Light smartphone. The new device is not a top performer but still packs a punch and offers decent hardware.

The Galaxy Light measures 121.5 x 62.9 x 10.3 mm for total weight of 123 grams and offers a quad-core Samsung SHANNON222AP processor at 1.4 GHz, a 4-inch sensor display at WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixels, 233 ppi), 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot (up to 64 GB).

The new Samsung smartphone also has a rear 5 MP camera, 720p video recording, a front 0.3 MP camera, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a GPS receiver, 3.5 mm audio jacks, a microUSB port, NFC and a 1800 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Light runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Its pricing is still unknown.
