Stay connected while capturing amazing images with four new PowerShot cameras from Canon

canon thumbToday Canon announced four new PowerShot cameras. The ELPH 530 HS, ELPH 320 HS, SX 260 HS, and D20 are the new additions to the PowerShot family. By using ELPH 530 HS and ELPH 320 HS Wi-Fi enabled cameras, you don’t have to sacrifice the image quality for the ability to instantly share images and videos. With the PowerShot SX260 HS pocket sized camera with 20x optical zoom (25mm to 500mm) you can catch very easy every breathtaking moment. And if you are an adventurous photographer, who is looking to take spectacular photos, the D20 PowerShot model is ideally designed for you.

The built-in Wi-Fi functionality in the two ELPH models allows photographers to upload, share or back-up their images. They can connect directly to a wireless network from their camera to upload images and videos to the Canon iMAGE GATEWAY, an online service that allows registered users store images to online albums, and then post them to social networks like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The Canon CameraWindow application is expected to be available on the Apple App Store for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, in March. With this App, users can easy transfer and save images and videos from their camera to compatible iOS devices. A similar app is expected to be available for Android in May.

The .78 inches thick ELPH 530 HS camera has the classic style of the original ELPH design and an amazing 12x optical zoom lens to capture great shots from a distance. To help produce high-quality images in low-light conditions the 10-megapixel high-sensitivity CMOS sensor will work in tandem with the camera’s DIGIC 5 image processor. With the ELPH 530 HS you can make 1080p Full HD video with crystal clear clarity. The model also has 3.2-inch LCD touch screen for simple and intuitive operation and menu navigation, Smart AUTO scene selection with 58 scenes, Face ID for optimal images of up to 12 registered subjects and the Intelligent Image Stabilization (IS) function.


The ELPH 320 HS model is perfect for the young and active photographers. The HS SYSTEM also included in this model with the 16.1 megapixel high-sensitivity CMOS and DIGIC 5 image processor working together to produce high-quality, low-light images. A 5x-Optical Zoom 24mm wide-angle lens will help expand the shooting capabilities of the camera. Like the ELPH 530 HS, this model also has a 3.2-inch LCD touch screen, Smart AUTO scene selection, Face ID, the Intelligent IS function and 1080p Full HD video.


SX 260 HS
Canon’s PowerShot SX260 HS camera comes with powerful 20x Optical Zoom and the 25mm Wide-Angle lens with Optical Image Stabilization delivers stunning images from up close or at a distance and measuring just 1.29-inches thick. The camera also has Intelligent IS and GPS photo tagging with location and elevation information to show exactly where your photos have been taken. Adding to the feature-set is High-Speed Burst HQ allowing for approximately 10 high-resolution shots to be captured at a continuous rate at 10.3 frames per second.

SX260 HS

PowerShot D20 is waterproof, shock-proof and freeze-proof camera. Even with gloves on, the easy-to-access button allows you to switch from normal photo mode to snow or underwater mode. Thanks to the underwater macro mode you can make amazing pictures, while diving or snorkeling. The camera also has wind reduction technology to help capture videos with clear audio even in breezy conditions.
