Samsung to release student-oriented tablet

The South Korean tech giant Samsung will soon start the sales of a new version of the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet that targets students. Naturally the device will be called Galaxy Tab 10.1 Student Edition and will come with a Bluetooth keyboard and a dock that will be suitable for use by students.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Student Edition will come with a dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor at 1.6 GHz with built-in PowerVR SGX544 MP2 graphics, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, a rear 3 MP camera, a front 1.3 MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a microUSB port, a microSD card slot and a 7000 mAh battery. The device will measure 256.7 x 175.3 x 8.7 mm and will weigh 533 grams.

The tablet is expected to sell for USD 349.99 or close to this price.
