HTC prepares Desire 301e budget smartphone

The struggling smartphone maker HTC has announced plans to release a new budget-oriented smartphone that will be known as Desire 301e.

Being a budget device the Desire 301e will come with a dual-core Snapdragon S4S processor at 1 GHz, 512 MB of RAM and a 3.5-inch sensor display at HVGA resolution (320 x 480 pixels, 155 ppi).

In addition to this hardware the Desire 301e will have 4 GB of internal storage memory, a microSD card slot, a rear 5 MP camera and a front 0.3 MP camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, a FM radio and a 1650 mAh battery. The device will also run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Once released the Desire 301e will sell for USD 200.
