Panasonic debuts new Micro Four Thirds camera

The Japanese tech company Panasonic has unveiled its latest Micro Four Thirds camera – the Lumix G DMC-G5. Being the successor to the G3 camera, the Lumic DMC-G5 comes with a number of new features.

The specs list includes a 16 MP sensor and the capability to record video up to 1920 x 1080 at 60p full HD video in AVCHD Progressive with stereo sound. The camera can also record still images at up to 6 fps at a maximum ISO of 12 800. There’s also a high-resolution live viewfinder that offers an equivalent of 1.4 million pixels of resolution and a large 920k tilting LCD screen. In addition the camera offers 16 different filters, allowing you to to create Instagram-style photos even if you’re not on your smartphone.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5 will be available in August in black, silver and white. Pricing is unknown.
