Acer debuts Veriton Z AIO PCs

The US branch of the Taiwanese tech company Acer has announced the Veriton Z series of all-in-one PCs. The new company products come with screw-less chassis and modular components for easy maintenance and upgrades and allow for wall mounting thanks to VESA wall-mount support stands.

The Acer Veriton Z series offers a total of two models. The Acer Veriton Z2640G-UC1007X offers an Intel Celeron 1007U processor (dual-core, 1.5 GHz, 2 MB L3 cache), 2 GB of DDR3 SDRAM (up to 16 GB), a 2 MP Full HD web camera, a 20-inch (19.5-inch viewable) HD anti-glare LED-backlit LCD monitor at 1600 x 900 pixel resolution with 5 ms of response time, two HD speakers, a HD microphone, USB 3.0 connectivity, a Super Multi optical drive and a spacious 500 GB hard drive. The model costs USD 539.

The Veriton Z2640G-UP2117X comes with an Intel Pentium 2117U processor (dual-core, 1.8 GHz, 2 MB of L3 cache) and 4 GB of DDR3 SDRAM (up to 16 GB). The rest of the hardware specs are the same as in the Veriton Z2640G-UC1007X. The Acer Veriton Z2640G-UP2117X sells for USD 599.

The new Acer Veriton series also comes with a bunch of other features such as the Acer Dust Defender system that prevents dust from accumulating inside the PC chassis and Acer software such as Acer Smart Client Manager for efficient software management, Acer eLock for data protection, Acer PowerSaver for energy efficiency and others.
