Appeak Poker for Android

If you are an Android user and wanted to play online poker in the past, your options were fairly limited to “social media” apps that were more flash than realistic poker.  That has changed with the  Appeak Poker app.  The app puts more focus on poker and less on the unnecessary extras.

For starters, you will notice a much more simplistic look to the interface for Appeak Poker than you will for Zynga and other social media apps.  You still have 24 avatars to choose from, but gone are the annoying “free gifts” and other things that serve little purpose at a poker table.  Chat is available among players as that is a standard for any poker game be it live or online.

There are four different levels of stakes with this app, giving you the ability to play whether you have only 1,000 chips or 50 million.  If you are a tournament poker player, then you will like this app as you have both single-table and multi-table tournaments at your disposal.

Realistically, this app is really geared towards those players looking to learn the game of Texas Hold em in an environment that is social but not overly campy.  With that said, some players may not like the level of play at the lower limits and the only way to get a huge amount of chips quickly for the highest stakes is to purchase chips.  However, once you are at the highest limits, you do have the chance to get atop the Appeak Poker leaderboard for ultimate bragging rights among players.

If you are a person that likes the cute little features of apps like Zynga, this isn’t going to be for you.  Appeak Poker is for those looking to learn the game of Texas Hold’em and could care less about all the little “features” of other social media poker sites.  Check out Appeak Poker today at either the Apple store or on Google Play.
