Samsung with new USB 3.0 external hard drives

Samsung Electronics today extends its hard disk drive family with three new models that offer USB 3.0 connectivity, these are the 2.5-inch M2 Portable and C2 Portable, and the 3.5-inch M3 Station.

The M2 Portable offers up to 1 terabyte storage space, features curved sides for a comfortable grip and wave-like matte finish in Brown Black, Noble Beige, Mist Gray and Clay Orange, that covers scratches and fingerprints.  The C2 Portable variant comes with transparent high-gloss cover and an in-depth crystallized pattern in two color choices – Mystic Gray and Ruby Red. It is also available in up to 1 terabyte capacity. Both drives comes with Samsung Drive Manager, a convenient back-up solution that enables to create a secure virtual drive, auto backup for both automatic and continuous data backup, and many other features including hardware evaluation, disk format and power conditions.

The M3 Station also has rounded corners like M2 Portable series and is avaialable in Brown Black or Noble Beige. colors. It has an LED light on the face of the drive that indicates the operation status  and comes in 1, 1.5 and 2 terabytes densities.

The M2 Portable series will arrive from mid April, while the C2 Portable and M3 Station are expected to be available in May.
