Genies & Gems

Genies & Gems

When looking at the picture of Genies & Gems it won’t take you long to realize that this free Android game is another one that belongs to the matching genre. Genies & Gems will try to make the whole experience more interesting for you, though.

The game comes with a simple story behind – some unknown thieves have stolen the palace treasure so it is up to you to save the world – you must recover the stolen items and gold bars. So to do that you must make smart matches to stay on path while avoiding cursed stones and overcoming caged gems. This is where the major difference comes – while in other such games you must achieve a certain score to move ahead, here you must take the fox to the treasure chest by giving her steps, which you earn by eliminating them and you eliminate them when you match other items with the same color. The game comes with the same matching rules as in other games so we will not discuss them here – we will just say that Genies & Gems has hundreds of levels to play so you will spend quite a bit of time playing if you end up liking this game. Genies & Gems also comes with the 2D graphics we have come to expect from these games and decent sound that is a bit childish at moments, but after all this is a game mostly for children.

All in all Genies & Gems stands a bit above other such games since it comes with a story and a new gameplay element so the app is definitely worth a look if you are into these games. In every other aspect the app offers more of the same and this is a downside but like we said the game will do. If we have to judge Genies & Gems we’d give it a B – we think that sums everything up.

Genies & Gems is here on Google Play.
