Toshiba presents Tecra A50 notebook

The Japanese Toshiba has officially presented a new notebook that targets small and medium-sized companies. The Tecra A50 comes with a magnesium-based chassis, a moisture-resistant keyboard and the latest mobile Intel Haswell processors including Core i3, i5 and i7 models.

The Tecra A50 offers a 15.6-inch glossy display that works at 1366 x 768 pixels or 1600 x 900 depending on the configuration, up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1 TB of hard drive storage (users can also get a 512 GB SSD), two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI/D-Sub/VGA ports, a microSD card slot, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Windows 8.1. A 66-watthour battery powers the device.

The base configuration of the Tecra A50 starts at USD 800.
