Rumor has it Samsung Galaxy S6 will appear at CES 2015

The hype around the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone keeps on building as Korean media have published information saying the smartphone will appear at CES 2015, which takes place in early January. In addition, according to this information, the S6 will have a curved version, called Edge, that will appear along with the “regular” one.

According to the Korean publication Chosun Biz and analysts working for it, Samsung will announce the Galaxy S6 much earlier than other models from the same series in an attempt to reverse the failing fortunes of the company on the smartphone market. Sales of Samsung smartphones have recently fallen so much that the company plans to cut production in 2015. This is the reason why Samsung Galaxy S6 will appear earlier than expected as Samsung wants to sell at least 45 million S6 units and 10 million units of the curved S6 Edge model. Some analysts even expect the Galaxy S6 to arrive before CES 2015, which, if true, means that we’ll see the device in the first days of 2015.

So far Samsung has remained mum on the situation.
