AMD’s Kabini APUs won’t run Windows XP, Windows Vista

Windows XP has become the most successful Windows version ever with nearly 20 per cent of all PCs still using it nearly 12 years after its release. Despite the huge popularity of Windows XP this OS will be fully incompatible with the upcoming AMD Kabini APUs, along with the failed Windows Vista operating system.

Kabini will not support Windows XP officially, which means that the OS can still be installed and perhaps work properly but in this case some of the chip’s functionality may be lost. The same is true for Windows Vista but the never-loved operating system won’t likely be missed by most Kabini users.

AMD has not confirmed the story but looks like Kabini will soon be another reason to switch from Windows XP to a more recent operating system. Speaking of this Kabini will have no problems with Windows 7 or Windows 8.
